The Cozy Scent of Voluspa Bourbon Vanille
          Scented Home & Garden

The last time I stopped by the Anthropologie store, candles were everywhere, and I loved seeing them cozily snuggled among the tableware, clothes, cosmetics, and dozens of other useless things that make our life nice and cozy. I left the store with the least scented of them, Voluspa Bourbon Vanille. It wasn't the only reason I bought it; unlit it smelled like a warm furry magical animal. Not exactly vanilla, especially the Bourbon kind, more like muffled sweet white musk.

Once lighted, Voluspa Bourbon Vanille smells stronger, like almost any scented candle. It looks beautiful too, and lasts long.

Voluspa Bourbon Vanille smells like sweet oatmeal cooked slowly with milk, like my great grandma used to cook. I was raised on a wide variety of properly cooked cereals, so I know what I am talking about; I hated it back then, I love it now. Russians call it kasha. In my family it was cooked with milk, a big chunk of butter, sugar and salt; it was more savory than sweet. The ultimate fuel for the day.

Voluspa Bourbon Vanille smells considerably sweeter, but nevertheless, it has the satisfying savory note of cereal and milk, and it feels like a holiday breakfast with a spongy cake.

Voluspa Bourbon Vanille is not vanilla, but it really doesn't matter. Along with the comforting, sweet foody smell, Bourbon Vanille induces that peculiar sensation you get at a nice store during the holiday season - it has the captivating nuances of rustling tissue, wrapping paper, flattering marketing, and something new, appealing and not yours, yet.

I barely burn candles out of respect for someone living in the home. I do very much enjoy Bath & Body Works Marshmallow Fireside and Autumn. Also, Trish McEvoy Wild Blueberry Vanilla. This one looks amazing!

I like Voluspa for its products and its packaging. I saw this, Bourbon Vanille, but I'm interested in getting the Macarons room and body spray for Christmas. Did I note how exquisite there packaging is. It will wow you !!!

Bourbon Vanilla also has a room and body perfume in its collection, I believe. Usually around $20.00. Pricing and packaging --did I say 'Wow'.

Eh it smells ok. It's always on sale at Nordstrom. Honestly you could buy a Bath And Body Works fragrance with vanilla that has more impact.

I clicked on this article because it had "vanille" in the title, which I love. I don't burn candles all that often, but this one sounds wonderful! This is a great description: "it smelled like a warm furry magical animal"! That sounds cozy and comforting, indeed! :D
